Stormy Day on Lake Michigan

Storms in the midwest can be pretty intense, but they can also bring an erie beauty.  Such was the case on Lake Michigan right before this storm rolled in.  

Outer Banks Utility

I had been wanting to visit the Outer Banks of NC for quite a while.  When I was finally able to take a trip there, wouldn't you know it, it was pouring the entire time… for 4 days straight.  So I got in my car and drove around exploring the wet, grey, saturated island.  As a side note, I have a real thing for utility poles.  Here are a few shots of the best utility poles a horribly stormy Outer Banks has to offer.
